BIOGRAPHY 

​Salvatore Cappellino, Tenor, became involved with music from an early age, joining his school chorus in the fifth grade. He sang through the end of High School, where he was a member of various ensembles, and continued into college as a member of the Concert Choir. Shortly after graduating from SUNY New Paltz in 2007 with a degree in Visual Arts, Salvatore developed a passion for Opera, and discovered Daniel Ragone for vocal coaching. He has been studying with Daniel Ragone in Port Jefferson, New York since 2008, learning songs and arias from various time periods and languages. He has performed numerous times at “Opera Night” in Northport, New York, as well as “Music on the Sound” in Port Jefferson, New York. Salvatore has recently performed the role of the Duke of Mantua, from Verdi’s Rigoletto with the Footlight Players in March of 2012.

In addition to his study of opera, Mr. Cappellino is also fluent in Italian, experienced in French and German, has played guitar for over 10 years, and holds a 5th degree black belt in Ryukyu Kempo (Okinawan Karate).
